Privacy Policy
Effective: October 19, 2026
App identifier: com.d73.stillalive
The app is a weight tracker. This policy describes exactly what data it handles, where that data goes, and how you delete it. It covers version 4.0 and later; a section below covers version 3.x for anyone still using it.
What the app sends to our server
- Your weigh-ins. The weight you log, its date and time, and any note you add. If you keep a starting weight or height the app filled in from Apple Health, that value is sent like one you typed.
- Your profile. Height, age, current and goal weight, the pace you chose, your reminder time, your unit, an event and its date if you added one in an earlier version, your language and time zone.
- A device identifier. Your account is keyed to an identifier created on your device, with a random secret that proves requests come from it. The app never asks for your name, email address or phone number.
- One-time handover from version 3.x. If you update from version 3.x, entries that version had saved but not yet sent (weigh-ins, and any meal, water or sleep entries) are sent once, so nothing you logged is lost.
What stays on your phone
- Apple Health readings. If you allow access, the app reads weigh-ins, height and body-fat estimates from Apple Health to show your trends. Apart from a starting weight or height you keep, those readings are not uploaded to our server, and Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing. You can turn access off at any time in the Health app: Profile → Apps → this app.
- Files you import, waist measurements, and the readings you mark "Not me".
- The app writes the weigh-ins you log to Apple Health only if you allow it.
Who processes it
- Google Firebase stores your weigh-ins and profile, through our server hosted by Fly.io. Both process the data only to run the app, under contracts that require protection equal to this policy.
- Apple handles subscriptions and payments. We never see your payment details.
Version 4.0 does not use analytics, advertising or tracking. We do not sell your data or share it with data brokers or advertisers.
If you still use version 3.x
Version 3.x also collected meal photographs and food descriptions, which were sent to OpenAI and Google to estimate nutrition, and it sent coaching context (such as how many days you had logged, calorie averages and your language) to OpenAI to write coaching messages; meal, water, sleep, exercise and fasting logs; purchase state through RevenueCat; and, if enabled, usage analytics through Mixpanel, including an approximate location derived from your IP address. Updating to version 4.0 stops all of that.
Not medical advice
Trends, ranges and goal dates are estimates for information only. The app is not a medical device. Check with a doctor before big changes to diet or exercise.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. Settings → Delete my data permanently erases everything stored for this app from version 3.0 on — weigh-ins, profile, meal logs and meal photos — first from our server, then from your phone. If you used the app before version 3.0, email us and we will delete that earlier data too, within 30 days. Deleting the app alone does not delete server data. Weigh-ins you saved to Apple Health stay in Apple Health, which you control. Purchase records that Apple, and for version 3.x RevenueCat, keep for billing are held by them; email us and we will ask RevenueCat to delete yours. An active subscription is cancelled separately in iOS Settings.
Children
The app is for adults 18 and over and is not directed at children; we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you enter a birth year less than 18 years ago, the app hides health ranges, goals and weight-loss milestones.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the app links to the updated version at this same address with a new effective date.
